Elisabeth Murdoch Building

Ivy successfully completed 2 stages of roofing works at the University of Melbourne’s Elisabeth Murdoch Building, which included replacing over 750m2 of roofing.

This project involved replacing the metal roofing around the internal courtyard, installing new siphonic downpipes, and upgrading the plumbing with the help of heritage architects and hydraulic consultants. The coordination between multiple parties was crucial to ensure the successful completion of the project.

In addition to the roof replacement, Ivy also carried out timber strengthening to existing roof frames, stone replacement and masonry works, mechanical relocation works, access system upgrades, civil stormwater installation, and painting of existing elements.

The attention to detail and thoroughness allowed Ivy to deliver high-quality results while meeting the specific requirements of the University of Melbourne.
