Ivy Constructions was engaged as the construction manager to undertake the complex project of the iconic external brick wall at Melbourne Girls Grammar in South Yarra. A project brought on by the concern of the increasing lean and its potential danger that it posed to the public.

Completed in a number of delicate stages while developing the design and engineering the works included the demolition of existing wall, careful management of the existing trees, installing concrete piles integrated with a steel/precast retaining wall and reconstructing of the wall using the existing materials back to its original element and style. The job required consistent consideration of public safety, especially considering the surrounding school zone when using various types of plants and machinery.
