TASMA TERRACE, EAST MELBOURNE – PARAPET REMEDIAL WORKS

Tasma Terrace is a nineteenth century 3-storey terrace that now houses the headquarters of the National Trust of Australia (Victoria), one of our valued repeat clients. Ivy, alongside our specialist subcontractors, undertook much needed remediation works to the parapets of this heritage building.

The works consisted of rebuilding the parapet, structural crack repairs and traditional 3-coat render restoration to match the original detail. Mouldings were replicated and hand-run with historical photographs used to ensure the accuracy of our restoration works. Ring system scaffolding was used with enclosed pedestrian gantries to ensure public safety and continued operation of the café below as works were undertaken.

Ivy were also engaged during the project to undertake internal plaster ceiling repairs, slate roof tile replacements and repairs to the original bluestone and cast-iron entrance gates at the historic property.
